Chicken Cordon Blue - in the crockpot!

When I find an easy recipe, especially a crockpot recipe, that our whole family loves, I feel like I need to tell EVERYONE! So easy, so yummy! Here it is!

Ingredients
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 ounces sliced ham
  • 4 ounces sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package herbed dry bread stuffing mix
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. Mix together the cream of chicken soup and milk in a small bowl. Pour enough of the soup into a slow cooker to cover the bottom. Layer chicken breasts over the sauce. Cover with slices of ham and then Swiss cheese. Pour the remaining soup over the layers, stirring a little to distribute between layers. Sprinkle the stuffing on top, and drizzle butter over stuffing. Cover, and cook on Low for 4 to 6 hours, or 2 to 3 hours on High.
Cheers!

Lil man walking!

By popular demand, here is a video of Max walking. Finally! Click here.

He's been walking for a couple weeks now but he still prefers to crawl because he is so much quicker. He is so cute when he knows everyone is watching him! ;)

So one of my New Year's resolutions this year is to keep up with Max (and the other 2 too) and hopefully lose a few pounds in the process.

I actually have 12 New Year's resolutions. I break them up by the month and some of them seem so simple and dumb but here is January's: Put away the Christmas stuff. Sadly, I still haven't finished it yet....but the day is not over! And I still have 7 more days of the month too. Here is to procrastinators!

Cheers,

My Sk8r Boy

Santa sure was daring bringing Sam a skateboard for Christmas. If you know Sam, he is a rough-and-tumble kid and it may only be a matter of time before we go to the emergency room. Again.Good thing Santa remembered knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards too!Cheers,

holiday reflections

So the chaos of the holidays is behind us. The clean up and my annual "Spring" cleaning has begun. Now that everyone is healthy (we learned that Max has asthma-yuck!), I am finding more time to reflect on the blur that was December. Here are some favorite moments I'd like to share.

Max and Sam singing at a church they go to have Parent's Monring Out. Max was the littlest one and quickly decided he was going to crawl away after they sang his favorite song: Jingle Bells.
Hanging up the stockings on Christmas Eve. He could ALMOST reach.
Carefully choosing cookies for Santa.
And of course, one for herself!
Max was happy as can be with the new trike Santa brought him. He is really enjoying it still! My mom, dad, and brother were here for Christmas. Uncle John spent HOURS with Sam teaching him how to assemble Legos (his newest obsession.)So many more great memories than photos.

Enjoy your day!
